Districts of Mizoram

  • Aizawl — Ridge-top state capital at about 1,100 m above the Tlawng valley
  • Champhai — Mizoram's rice bowl; the Zokhawthar crossing to Myanmar and Murlen park
  • Hnahthial — Jhum-farmed hills south of Aizawl; a district only since 2019
  • Khawzawl — Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary; carved from Champhai in 2019
  • Kolasib — Vairengte's jungle warfare school and the Bairabi railhead on the Assam border
  • Lawngtlai — Seat of the Lai and Chakma autonomous councils on the Kaladan road
  • Lunglei — Mizoram's second town, named for a natural rock bridge over a stream
  • Mamit — Dampa Tiger Reserve along the Bangladesh border; Reiek hill
  • Saiha — Phawngpui, the Blue Mountain, Mizoram's highest peak at 2,157 m
  • Serchhip — Vantawng Falls, Mizoram's tallest, and the Thenzawl handloom village
